hey guys and girls, just thought i would pop in and introduce myself, i have been living in aus for 7 years (from england but please dont hold that against me, i do bath regularly)

i was into coarse fishing in the uk, rivers and streams for trout, perch, tench and barbel (man did those little buggers fight) with the odd spot of piking thrown in for good measure.

just got back into fishing in a very limited way at the moment although i am hoping to improve on that, i was hoping you could recommend some good fresh water lakes or rivers i could try in my area (melbourn eastern suburbs) and what sort of fish types i am looking for (my knowledge of aus fish and fishing techniques is very limited although i am googling like a trouper)

anyway, thanks for any help you can give and i will see you on the boards

mate i have no idea about freshwater in melbourne but if u post a question in the freshwater chat section u may get an answer also being part of ausfish we all have somehing in common here so im sure you will find a mate with info about this topic
