how to get 1pce rod to Adelaide....?

Ive just sold one of my rods to a guy in Adelaide, but have no idea how to get it down to him, The problem i have is that its a 1pce and stands over 6ft tall.

Can i simply post it or do i have to freight it or air expresss......???

does anyone have any ideas on how i go about doing this.."

You won't be able to post it. I suggest calling a few frieght companies and getting quotes. I had to frieght a rod from Brisbane to Perth, cost me $40, you should be able to get it shipped cheaper than that to Adelaide.

Let me know how you get on, as I might need to send one down there myself in a week or two.

Where in Adelaide does it have to go? I may be driving down there in a week or so and a six foot rod would not be a drama in the wagon. I understand time might be the drama, but its a thought.

Allied Express i believe will take them in a tube and i hear around $20. give them a ring

I definitely need to send a 5'10" baitcast rod to Adelaide, any chance I could take you up on that offer? That's if you end up going of course. There is no rush with this rod of mine and I could get it to you at Redcliff. Feel free to say no if it doesn't suit you.

Not a problem. It will need to be bagged and taped. I will spending all of my time there south of Adealide, as far south As Victor Harbor. I'll let you know when I am going. Possibly Mon or Tues next week or at latest same days following week. I will confirm that by PM

I had a few problems from taking a 1 peice 6 foot 6 in rod on the plane to canberra but in the end because i was a kid they let me take it.
