    Winter whiting in Hervey Bay?

Anyone know if the winter whiting have schooled up in Gatakers Bay, Pt Vernon or out of the boat harbour yet? Am thinking of taking my young boys for their first go at getting a few of theses tasty little morsels. Plus get some frames/heads in the freezer for the reef fish.

It was about this time last year we were in the bay there and getting destroyed by some XOX grinners. lol.
So how does whitting school up in relation to grinners?
Humility is not a weather condition.

hey stui I have seen the boats out of toogom so that is a sure sign that the whiting are schooling up. But I havent been out myself only for the fact I havent had the chance. But I will be going soon as I can.

    Hey Stuie,

Chop here. Trent and I are heading out this weekend for a first run at the whiting. Hope you (and I) have some success.

    Cheers.
