Outboard rigging flange ideas?
Trying to chase up one of those flanges and the tube for passing all the electrics/hydraulics/fuel through the motor well or transom to the outboard.
It seems I can source a fitting $10 easily enough but the threaded tube designed for them cost around $370 for the 1m I need (because I can only buy in 20m rolls)
Anyone got any ideas or other options that will suit a boat.
thanks fnq

do you mean to go from the well to the motor or just to pass through a hole?? (slop stopper)

Re: Outboard rigging flange ideas?
this kit (2 end fittings and the ribbed tube) cost about $90 i think.
the outboard shop where the motor was fitted had them in stock.

Re: Outboard rigging flange ideas?
fnq, you can buy a flexible drain hose (concertina type) with fittings that fit to the drain of a bath or tub. the one i bought would probably struggle to fit all the outboard lines and cables but they might be available in larger sizes or you might be able to use 2 of them, best of all they fit standard pvc drain fittings that are available at any hardware or plumbing supplies. dunno if this helps ya.

Re: Outboard rigging flange ideas?
Hi Noelm, Both, I was looking for the complete setup it has a plastic fitting for the hole with the tube that screws into that fitting and carries the cables etc to the engine these look tidy when finished but now due to the cost of the tube, slop stoppers not sure if I want that design yet.

Re: Outboard rigging flange ideas?
Yeah steve that is what I am after -the tube is worth a mint at least in the quanity I would be forced to purchase.
Paddles I might look into the plunbing trade supplies I guess, if all else fails.
