Fishing Maroochy River

Hi All
We are only new to the area and are going fishing /crabing at maroochy in a couple of weeks 16-19 Feb . Would like to know of any good spots to try if any.Without giving away too many secrets.

For fishing try the cod hole which is between the motorway bridge and the maroochy river tours pontoon - overnight is a favourite for this area. You could also try drifting for flatties near the mouth or flick plastics for them around the bli bli channel markers and entrances to the creeks.

Plenty of people crab in the river and you will see lots of floats if you take a trip upstream - try and find an empty spot and give it a go

Thanks Snakecatcher .. I will try what you say, I brought a Beacon To Beacon today has maps of the area so I see the places you mean.
