    Eagle Accunav Sport Antenna Connection

I have an Eagle Accunav Sport and the connection between the unit and the antenna is faulty. Because it does not make contact it cannot read sats.

I think there was an extension lead available when the units first came out so does anyone have one I could try and see if this makes the contacts better?

I have fiddles on shore and got a brief contact so I know the unit is fine and does read the sats if it has signal. Also the self test shows all fine internally.

    Anyone got any thoughts?

    Thanks

    Cheers

Chimo, Sorry don't no any thing about that set up. But what sort of conection is it.
If the unit has pins in it, one may be broken off, and just to short to make the conection in the antenia plug.

So if you find a short pin it may only need a cut down paper clip inside the conector to make the circuit.

"Eagle Accunav Sport" Is this the model with the folding/removable antenna? If so going to be very hard to find those extension cables these days!

    Hi RAG
Thanks for the paper clip idea, I think the problem is the central connector pin.

    Hi Kerry
Yes that is the model, had it since the 80s and I think you are correct about finding anything not just cable for these today.

Anyhoo I will perservere and probably get a connection one way or another, its a good little second GPS and used to work well inthe truck too.

    Cheers
