So I am obviously not alone with my thoughts on a longer reel handle. I put up a post recently about the length of the handles being my main issue with the 20 and 25's.
If I was still in the trade I would be able to whip up a handle in no time. Mill the slot etc.
What we need is some turner out there to make up about 50 of them during smoko for ausfishers (we use to call them foreigners in the old days), and sell them to ausfishers for postage and a 6 pack.
Just have to work out a really cheap and easy way of adding a good handle.
i would like two also....
"whats the time"
mmmmm now i'm thinking about make'n some $$$ for handles ???

I have a mate(welder/fitter/turner) who can make anything - give me an idea of the price and I'll see if he will do it.
Yep, put me down for one

Yeah Guys while on a similar subject THe Knobs.
I think most knobs are a poor design, some high speed spin reels tend to give ya blisters and bad rubbing. Are there any site's aound were you can buy Custom or modified Knobs
I rang 2 mates that own tackle shops yesturday, and both of them said that it would be near impossible to get knobs for the handles. So dose anyone know where we can get some? ???

I wonder if it would be possible to adapt a handle from one of the new generation jigging reels. Their handles look the part.

chris the knob i used is the alvey 725 c52 , it feels a little strange at first if your used to the standard one, but after the first fish all is forgotten. All you need to do is drill a hole to fit it, it comes with the bolt and nut...foxy
Reading this thread I was also getting some ideas but than I used Google and:
