I forgot to mention, I got another rockfishing outfit (custom made to suit alvey)

there are the details:

custom made by 'Budds'
12ft
suit for 25-30lb
built for alvey
very light

Match up with Alvey No. 650c

I paid around $330 just for the rod.

I am after $180 for both rod and alvey, as I dont need them as more.

I understand what everyone is saying about the Alvey Reels but I feel more comfortable using the Eggbeaters. Apart from the reel not being an Alvey does the combo seem ok. If I get this combo I will downsize the line to 10kg.
