    Surf cast reel??

    Hey, Looking to update my old ABU 7000. Options considered at this time are calcutta 700, Daiwa cv z300 and penn 975. Any thoughts on which way to go.
    will be used for casting baits offf the beach/breakwalls etc for jew and small sharks....

    I'd be going another base (red) ABU 7000,if overheads off the beach are your thing the bushed ABU will outlast the other multi bearing overheads you have mentioned by a long shot.
