    Little Brooksy's First Cobia

Waking up to a near perfect morning I thought I should take the young fella out for a fish as I had promised over the holidays. For some time now he has wanted to catch a cobia so for a change we left at a nice gentlemanly hour from Bribie. To cut to the chase, even though we missed the best part of the tide the mission was successful. Dan landing a nice 12.5kg fish.

great to see a young fella working out on a big fish like that. I'm sure he's got much bigger muscles now - and I'm sure it tasted great for his efforts too.

Well done Dan. Beats my efforts hands down.

    Brooksy,

If I was you I'd be getting a little life jacket for him so when we hook him to a marlin he'll at least float to the surface when he's pulled overboard

Is he a bit stiff and sore this morning. Was Aimie pissed you didn't get her one?

Don't need the life jacket, had the rod strapped to the boat He wasn't sore this morning, but yes Aimee was disapponted.
    Chris
Yes I am proud and the comp sounds good. Dan doesn't need to do the weights just needs to put some bulk on can't seem to get him fat.
