    Way Way Wide of hutchies

First off sorry to Michael and Ray for not contacting you today, Nick headed north to the bottom of the Caloundra 12 but alot wider, and only his 27mhz was working so no vhf.
We fished the wrecks way way out in the 120-130m zones, with Moreton a smudge on the horizon.
Bagged out on Pearlie quick smart, and Nick also had a reel burning run with a 15kg Kingie coming on board, we then headed wider still and got amongst the Snaps, but the sharks also had a field day, and it was hard going try to get the Snaps to the surface.
Had a hair raising trip back with a 20+ northerly blowin, we also had a big greenie dump a ton of water in his rig, made it back to Scarbourgh around 5.30pm.
    Few pics below
    regards

Yeah thats what i'm thinkin. All good fish there and a good shot of the shark.

Hairy trips are a real eye opener to how quickly we can get into trouble but at least we learn from them.
What sort of rig were you on to be dumped in and what did you do when that happened?

Re: Way Way Wide of hutchies

Pete as you no wrecks in 100m plus their only two species that hang out there, plus maybe the odd Aj or Kingie and of course those tooth critters.
The reason Nick fishes these areas, is your generally the only rig out their, and definetly need good weather to get there.
Here's a tip if you have heard of the "Ugle Boy" thats was one of them.
The shark actually followed what was left of a Snapper all the way to the surface.
Yeah Chris we had another rig trying to find us, and because of no vhf they couldnt, sorry Sandman.
