    seaway fires

found a nice coral bommie a few km off seaway which holds lots of bait

caught and released 10-15 10kg cobia and 20 rat kingfish on jigs and soft plastics

    Re: seaway fires

    kept 3 10kg cobia for a feed

they were so thick you could have nearly scooped em up with a net

the dropper on the hook is how the hook/dyneema come standard (try tackle warehouse)

was using gear from 6kg spin to 15kg tlds

cobia sure do pull at 10kg but a kingfish at 10kg would pull them backwards

    Re: seaway fires

how far off the seaway did you go.
    was out there yesterday.
fished the area NE of the seaway in about 30Fth.
great shows on the sounder but the main thing that come over the side was flathead and tailor.
got 4 reef flathead all just under 50cm.
