SnApPa'S week on "reel tuff" at 1770

This year I crew for “reel tuff” skippered by ken. See pic..

Arrived in 1770 Saturday afternoon and located the house. We experience no problems on our way up except we never filled up at chillers and travelled the last 20 kms with every thing crossed.
Pulled up beside the commodore’s boat to see BANANAS sticking out of the rod holders…. Needless to say “the commodore” [who won the trophy last year] had the worst trip in all the years he been going up with the club, not weighting in any fish or very little…..Each morning there after a spot check of the boats were made ….

The boys from the “kitty cat “house were in a playfull mood ……

Saturday is b-b-q #night for the P.B.A. and after I walked up to the pub and met lucky phill and Roz.. The other ausfishers, Carlo, Ray, Paul, #had gone to play the pokies by the time I got there and that was the last chance I had as full days fishing and hour or two filleting left no time to play and sleep was on order to be able to get up early next morning.. AGE does slow one down a little


We fished every day and had an overnight at Fitzroy reef. The photo is typical of the catch we had very day.

Hey Snappa, you were camped across the road from us. We had Kitty Kat behind us, who was straight across from you. I even saw you at the ramp, didn't even know it was you.
Would have been good to catch up with a couple of you guys at some stage, maybe next time.
Top week had by all I think, Ausfish and PBA.

yes maybe next year as it was busy with fishing every day.. blaze dropped in on his way to your place [picked up a "razza" handle off me] he may remember as he could have been a little jet lagged ....lol maybe..

this is my first "red" and not my last.

i was on the leader board mid week [8.5 kg ] untill the boys had a afternoon trip and the rest is history for me ..wayne by the way sent me the gps spot were u lost your anchor reely for next year ..

we have planned another trip to 1770 and maybe i could bring back your anchor ...
