The creek after the rain.

Decided to give my local canoe haunt a go this arvo to see what it was fishing like after all the rain. The combination of the extra fresh and today's large high tide put plenty of water in the upper reaches. Lots of nibbles and bumps and a few fish coming onboards made it an enjoyable couple of hours. Highlight however was seeing an osprey fly off with a 40cm mullet in it's talons and then on the way back passing it sitting on a low branch enjoying its catch. Made me wish i'd brought the SLR instead of the digital.

Good one Jeremy, I'm taking delivery of a couple of kayaks this weekend and look forward to a relaxing outing like you had today. Sounds like a pleasant couple of hours despite the fishing being quiet.
