Had a yarn to one of my mates yesterday whos up north on a 2 month trip and hes at 1770 at the moment.
He had an unreal session and got onto some barra , 2 were landed and 2 lost.
They also got a good 50cm fingermark and a 70 cm bluenose salmon, small gt and a few other bits and peices all caught up round hill creek yesterday, all on livies, and they got stitched up in the thick country by some good fish a few times.
They have 4-5 more days in 1770 then they keep going right up to Cooktown, stopping at every town on the way up. One of the best holidays you could ask for.

Cheers
Morty
