Neil got the squire on a 110mm squidgee flick bait in flash prawn colour, jighead was a 1/6 TT 3/0. It was only about 5.30 am and i got him in the shallows- about 10 foot. Got 5 other legal squire, all around the 40 cm mark and two cod a 42cm annd a 53cm. I was quite happy with the results we went out chasing some sandies for the rellies on new years day- the fish were a bonus
    cheers

Which side of Green Island.. I always launch from Manly to Mud Island, zooming past the ole Green Island. Have stopped there on two occasions picking up flathead and massive catfish. Alot of sand and a few bomies around but diddn't pick it for many squire.
Can you tell me if you were N S E or West.

That's a very nice fish mate. Green still has some nice fish around. I remember one sesh we got a hot bite that lasted half an hour and we boated 5 snapper. The smallest around 60cm. Then the place just shut down. Early morning same as you.
Looks like the Northern end of Green, yeh??

north east corner there is a nice ledge- can't miss it it's the one with all the boats on it. We were drifting from east to west -from 30ft into 10ft in the shallows. We were getting the fish in the shallows early, then as the sun got higher we moved out deeper.
try softies mate i have only caught 2 catfish on them
    cheers Marty.

    mate,

impressive catch - well done, especially for your third trip there. I've been there a stack of times and never done as well as that.

I have been fishing further towards the south eastern side. may have to try further to the north.

    Congrats again.

Top Stuff MARTY! It's a great feeling when you have a session like that especially when there's a 60cm+ model in there for good measure!

They can be found anywhere along that ledge on their day - a lot like Wello! Let's hope they're playing the game tomorrow!!!
