    Live Bait Tank

    Howdy,

I'm wanting to install a live bait tank in my tinnie. I have a 3.7 m boat so size will have to be taken into account. I'm guessing the smallest size would be 40l - 60l

The use is mainly for holding lBass - Bream - whiting etc.

What are some of the main things needed to enhance the survival of these fish.

Ie good airation - round corners in the tank - constant changing of the water etc.

    Any help will be welcome

    8) the cheapest way out for your tinnie, and to save buying
one is get yourself a old esky size will depend on how much
room and how many livies u want to keep.
drill a hole a few inches from the top in the side and attach
or glue a garden sprinkler tap for overflow purposes, u still
have the drain plug a t the bottom to empty it. put another
    hole in thelid.
then attach a bilge pump to the transom of your boat and run
a hose up and into the lid, with a swithch for power your away
cheap a buggery. and it works well.
it will also drain the esky of water if not airating enought
just turn the pump off and it will suck the water out..

My mate has a 40L bucket with skin fittings attatched. It works a treat. I have a couple of pics on my webpage if you would like a look at it. Makes it very easy to remove if need be & keeps livies alive all day long.
