Can anyone give me an idea of where I can find GPS marks for the Hinchinbrook area. Any magazines or books ??

    Re: GPS Marks

Have you tried your local tackle shop ?

GPS marks are usually only a starter point anyway, the best is to find your own spots, cause fish there one day, gone the next.

Log onto www.fishfinderbooks.com , they have a good book called North Australian Fish Finder. about $30 delivered to your door / PO box etc.

Definately get a good marine chart.

    also look up www.tsvestuarycharters.com.au

also could contact Steve Jeston at
    hyperspace@bigpond.com for some info.

    also try www.fishingcairns.com.au

That's about infoed me out. good luck

Thanx Phil - thats a starting point. I am actually asking for an acquatance who doesn't have the Internet. He & a couple friends have a week on a houseboat & they are towing a boat up to fish from. I guess they are just after a head start to save time finding any reefs or bommies or whatever else is up there.

Garry Smith has written it and his email address is
