Stanage Bay - best months to go.

Have been asked to join in a trip to Stanage Bay later this year . The group will take boats mine being one of them to fish offshore . I know lots of guys who have gone up and not launched a boat due to the WIND . Do we have any fishers from that area that can offer advice on the best months to try to avoid the worst of the wind ? ???

Contact Von Anne Ireland from Stanage Bay Tackle shop on stanagebaymarine@bigpond.com She puts in weekly reports on the area on the queenland fishing monthly web site(fishingmonthly.com.au) Havent had the pleasure of going there myself yet, but my inlaws absolutely rave about the place. I dont want to scare you too much but i hope your boat is not a glassy as the dirt road into Stanage can get very ordinary.

Thanks for the adresses - will contact her. Yes , the boat is glass and I have been told the track is subject a bit to the army activities with their grader ?
