Fitted with all terrain tyres to chase people through the mangrove mud?
Ben
Isnt it a grand plan
wonder when they are going to spend some real money to catch the guys that fluant the law
Next will be jazzing up their uniforms to look the part of a modern task force not to be messed with. As JB said...when is money going to be spent on something worthwhile? Seems to be a common issue though, regardless of what industry.
Ben
Yep, probably catch some 10 year old kid with an under sized toadfish on the boardwalk behind Nudgee Beach. [smiley=policeman.gif]
'What Money', maybe that's the problem. No money to run boats or after hrs surveillance. Yes guys, very similar story to the Police-force.
Too many crims/poachers and not enough good guy's !!
Cheers Craigie.
craigiewhere is all the money going from tourism on the GBR that is supposidly worth more then recreational fishing?'What Money', maybe that's the problem.
cheers
Joe
can you just see the picture ...
6 months ago the patrol guys sitting in the tearoom charged up & excited talking about the rumours of them getting armed with "bikes" enforce & uphold the law.
Quad bikes they all agreed, couldn't be trail bikes - baywatch style law enforcement had reached Qld - cooooooooool !!
How very disappointing - but at least they'll be fit .
Good point Jaybee, but the money ain't going towards enforcement (QB&FP) ??? If anything the number of Patrol Officers in Queensland has stagnated in recent years.
You'd think with the constant 'Tightening' of fishing regulations, the Queensland Gov't would increase the enforcement numbers to cope with this ?????????
Chris, they may be excited about the bikes (Quads or Pushies) but the fear is they may be swapped over to replace the boats . Times are getting tough.
Cheers
Craigie.
So why bring in complex regulations and not have the money or means to effectively enforce them?
Any fishing is good fishing (should probably say Any fishing is...probably going to be illegal soon)
