Shark Jaws
For those that know, I've been cleaning up the jaws of the Whaler we got a few weeks back now. (http://www.ausfish.com.au/cgi-ausfis...num=1084541252). Almost finished them now and will be mounting them on a plaque tomorrow sometime. Pics attached. Any queries, just ask.

Maria,
Looks like they turned out really good for you! Did you spray them with clear coat (spray varnish) to preserve them or are they alright as is? I've collected animal skulls I've found in the forest and they are alright. They turn a little yellowish over time but that's no biggie. Good work, they look very nice!

El Carpo,
Yeah, they were soaked in a bleaching solution for a few hours, then had al the solution rinsed and cleaned off, dried out for a few days then sprayed with a couple of coats of fixative to protect.

Re: Shark Jaws
dane,
they're closer to home than ya think, butterfly a big mullet & on a full moon night sit 15-20m off the corner of kalinga bank in a direct line to sth straddie - that's the surest recipe for a whaler I know.
Nice work on the jaws too.
