I live at Cleveland and work as a Support Analyst for a company called Sastek. Build computer systems for abbatoirs. Moved up to QLD from Geelong Vic, in Nov '04 and loving it. Currently also working part time helping run ABT fishing events, off to Boondooma this weekend for the Bass Pro. Love fishing plastics for bream etc anywhere. Before moving to QLD worked for a company that built computer systems for service stations. Always keen for a fish or a beer.

Graduated from uni with a bachelor in sport and exercise science - am a health start coordinator at Phosphate Hill - qld where I run the gym and conduct fitness testing, program prescription and rehab. live at wavell heights but have beach house at rainbow beach, so its like my second home. carpenter by trade and licenced beach wormer on the side, ( worming pays for my fishin trips, carpentry pays the missus and the bank! ) also, keen rod builder, crab pot maker, landrover enthusist and inventor try to make a little income off the many beach fishing comps along the east coast as i can. love catching big quality fish and specificaly targeting species.

I'm originally from the tropics grew up in PNG and north Queensland but now reside on a rural property in northern NSW (my wife's folks are located in these parts). Have my office located on the bank of a pretty nice bass creek (with a few eastern cod thrown in for good measure).

Love my freshwater fishing (understatement - its more like a religion for me!) which is what originally lead me to do environmental science - graduated from James Cook Uni (Townsville) in 1986.

Have had a few different jobs and work experiences along the way kitchen hand, gold exploration fieldy, fishing guide (Escott Station), research officer, special projects biologist on the Fly River in PNG, and a 2 and a half year stint in Canberra as a Natural Resource Management Bureaucrat and then back to private consultancy since mid 2002.

My work takes me to some great places (mainly back to the tropics) and I even get to mix pleasure (i.e. fishing) with it sometimes - did a great project for NSWF on eastern cod last year - but the reality is I spend most of my time staring at a word processor and trying to get multiple reports together for simultaneous deadlines!! (and distract myself by looking at ausfish )

I'm passionate about the environment and genuinely concerned about the future my kids are going to inherit, - always willing to give free advice if my expertise stretches to it - so feel willing to email me if you have environmental questions.

my names paul and i have moved over from the u.k with the wife and kids and we love it here and would never go back!!!! love my fishing,shore bassed as no boat!!! into long distance casting for both tournaments and fishing and chasing anything that swims!! live on the sunny coast ,sippy downs and when and if it ever stops raining im into commercial and private mowing and slashing ,houses and development and most other aspects of garden maintenance but i would ratherbfishing lol lol
