Thread: Fishing myths

    Fishing myths

Anyone got any good fishing myths to perpetuate or bust?

I'll kick things off - I've got a mate who reckons WD40 on bait improves his catch rate.

    Good luck,
    Mike

    Re: Fishing myths

There are no fish at 1770.

Fish only bite in a northerly.

Rename your boat after every trip.

Always take Bananas on the boat for snacks.

    Bream love floodlights.

Never log on cause people will know where you are fishing.

Leave all lights and electronics on at night so others can see you.

6 knots is only for " other ' people.

No point in checking the bungs are in, they were last time.

The biggest boat has right of way at the ramp.

The BoM is always right with their forecast.

Everyone on board go to the same side of the boat to assist landing the fish.

    and the most important:-

I have enough fishing gear !
