Gold Coast in October

Gidday everyone,
I know October is 5 months away but I intend bringing the family up from the NSW South Coast for the usual tourist run of the theme parks, . But the minister of war and finances has plans to go shopping up there, so, I intend booking a fishing charter for a day with my son . We will be there during the first week in October. My question is "Is this a good time of the year for fishing off the Gold Coast"?

think thats a good time,jacks will be fireing ,but being a visitor you would be lucky to get any,depends what style fishing your after ,dont fish offshore myself but im sure its a good time to do it,charter should work out,cheers.
