    Dahlberg Tying??

Wanted to tie some Dahlbergs for the cod this weekend - I got a basic idea, but lack of time. Any suggestions to a site that can break down the steps etc.

Keen to give them a go also on the mundi fish when I head up north in September.

    All the best
    Jack

    G'day Jack.
It also has a lot to do with the deer hair you buy. Some deer hair is reall thin and some is really coarse.
The course stuff is harder to tie and pack into thick clumps. It seems to open up a bit more when you tighten down on it and tends to sink a little easier when soaked.
See if ou can get some fine stuff and really pack it in there.
For codlets, tie them fairly big (they float pretty good at that size no matter what hair you use) so they make a decent racket.

Last time I cast dahlbergs at barra they were all over a pink and black number. After I busted that one off they didn't want anything to do with the green one I had on until I rubbed some pink zinc cream on it!

I know it (color preference) changes every day, but still something to think about!

    Cheers, Slates
