    G'day sporty1,
If you are looking for a good intermediate flyline you can't go past the Air Flo range. The type of line depends on the use. For long range casting the 'Delta' series are the way to go. For a weight forward line try the 'bonefish' clear intermediate.

If you are looking for a specialist flats fishing line the only way to go is the 'hover' series of lines- these are without a doubt the best thing for shallow water fishing- they can be very hard to find though.

    Hope this helps.

Rio Aqualux WF3I to Wf9I clear or the Lumalux lines, both DT's and WF, glows when lit up. And they have a "new" line just for Clousers, in both clod water and warm water coatings.
    Hi Class stuff. Max

    Max,

The Rio Clouser flyline is a floater. The intermediate is due in the next year or so.

I've had no problems with the Scientific Angler Intermediate lines in the Bonefish, Striper and Tarpon tapers.

For estuary work on a 8#, I'd suggest the Bonefish rather than the Striper. The bonefish is better for delicate presentation, and the striper is best suited for fishing for inshore pelagics.

Personally Wes, I use heads 100% of the time, cheaper, just as good, can use everything from floaters to flat out bricks, more backing longer casts.
Full lines are higher in drag, take up too much spool, and cost a fortune. A cheap head on the end of a slick running line can be just as delicate as a full line. If you want cheap lines, look a www.johnnorris.co.uk. Max

Can reccomend the SA bonefish & tarpon tapers. They get a bit of memory in cold water but the pros out weigh the cons IMHO.
