    fluorocarbon and super glue

We have had some trouble with the big Longtail Tuna (20 kg plus )over the last few months, with them biting through 20 lb siglon fluorocarbon.

Just wondering if anybody has done some tests on weather fluorocarbon joined on to a fluorocarbon shock tippet with a drop of super glue on the knot ,would give a 100% knot strength.
    any help would be appreciated.

Well I don't use fluoro carbon, or mono shockers for anything, I prefer 40lb Sevenstrand for "bite" tippets, they are easy to connect, aren't easily chopped to bits and I'm sure that Tuna don't care. Its very thin stuff. You shouldn't use CA glue of Fluoro carbon line, it doesn't seem to like glues, although the stuff I tried was the cheaper variety. Most mono's arent effected though. Use Loctite 406. Cheers Max
