2003 GOLD COAST FLYFISHING SEMINAR

Friday July 11th
International sports star Rod Harrison will present “Harro On Fly” a visually exciting programme that will strip the mystery, explain the basics and promote the fun side of this exciting sport. Commencing 7:30pm at Bond University.


Saturday July 12th
Commencing 10:30am, learn rigs and tackle tricks plus flycasting tips with personal lessons from Rod Harrison, John Foy, National Saltwater flycasting Champion, and Gavin Platz, renown flycaster and tutor. This demonstration will take place at the Ornamental Pond at Bond University. Bring your fly rod, but if you don’t have one, we will lend you one. Drinks and BBQ lunch will be available at nominal cost. There will also be displays of fly tying and the latest of products from a variety of fishing tackle distributors. Some of the latest innovations from the boating world will be on display. Be entertained by on stage presentations with Phippsy, and Des Charles, well known in the world of fishing.

Sunday July 13th
Catch and release Tailor Chase. No competition, no prizes, just fishing together and having fun! Commencing at dawn with a free BBQ brunch at 11am at the boat ramp on the Southern end of The Spit, just past Sea World. Enjoy a feed and a chat with “Harro” and others.

All inclusive cost $25.00 per person, $20.00 for students and seniors
