    Hull Repaint

My hull is starting to look a bit ratty, after a few mishaps
trying to load her during windy weather etc, am looking at
hanging the boat somehow and pulling the trailer out. so i can
get a good clean go at her. Some advice as how to lift
a 18ft half cabin and secure it so it wont come crashing down
once the trailer is removed, any suggestion thanks
    regards

    hi webby
maybe if you used slings to hold her up, like they use on some dry docks and painted it in sections .
or a support cradle but the boat still has to be lifted up and the cradle moved .
    thats a hard one

Its not as awkward as it first looks, assuming it is a fibreglass 8), Just finished dreamdays underneath, makes a huge difference, runs like new again.
Empty as much out as you can, batterys, fuel tanks, and loose stuff.
When you take her off the trailer, lower down onto 3 tyres along keel, put another one on the side and gently tip over.
You will be able to sand most of underneath, when you tip over the other way, only a short bit of sanding left.
When painting, simply overlap on the keel line.

Have fun, takes about two weekends
