Bow mount electric for 4.8 metre boat

I'm in the process of getting a Fisher 4.8 metre plate alloy side console(no pod) built. It will be powered by a 60 HP 4 stroke yammy.

What size Minnkota bow mount do I need. I thought 55lb-12v
minimum but didn't know if 65lb 24v was needed.

I suppose anyone with something like a 4.6 Stessl Tritech Angler or a 4.75 Quintrex topender or similar would have a good idea.

    Hi Davo,

Which Fisher are you getting, the torres or the maxi. The maxis a bit heavier, so you'll definitely need the 65. For the torres I'd probably still get the 65 (if budget allows) coz bare 450 tiller weighs 350kg + motor (110kg) + fuel and stuff (100kg) + 2 adults (150kg). You're looking at least 700kg. (add another 150kg for the maxi)

You can never have too much power!

    Cheers

    George,
MIne is the same on that appears in Queensland Fishing Monthly. I think the Torres fisher was the earlier generation 4.9 m hull. Thanks for your advice.

Actually I can get a superseded 65 lb Riptide at the right price but I'll need extra batteries and upgrade to a multi-output charger.I've got a few months to explore the avenues.

    Davo
