Carpeting Tinnies

Have just taken delivery of my new tinnie. I was thinking of putting a bit of extra carpet in the anchor tray and maybe on the sides to stop a bit of noise from getting hit by sinkers and huge tails of fish also giving a bit of protection to rods, reels, etc. Are there any drawbacks eg corosion. Have in the past had corosion from carpet on skids on the trailer. Clutter

Mate has old artificial turf on his wooden floorboards - fantastic - no problems - he didn't connect it to the floor - it just pulls out when cleaning but doesn't move around too much when fishing - go for it! - as for aesthetics #- A plus
