Re: Minn Kota questions
You made the right decision Tim, Fishing cums first
The 40 pounder will be heaps more suitable than the 28, good decision with the Battery as well. In the long run the extra dollars will be well spent. The advice from all the boys was spot on
Cheers Craigie.

Re: Minn Kota questions
No Problemo Tim, hope everything works out for you mate, i know you'll find yourself using the minnkota for alot more things then just getting up small creeks, you may even get a small bracket fitted to the front of your boat so you can use your leccy up there as a bowmount

Re: Minn Kota questions
Alright cheers craigie and tim, the minn kota went very well. I see now that a 28 pound model would be useless. Thanks again your champions.

Re: Minn Kota questions
Well we only used it for about an hour of lure casting because winds were too strong. going up the creek for bait was alot easier and i felt a little more comfy knowing i wasnt going to shag another gearbox.

Re: Minn Kota questions
you can buy spare shear pins, and the nut and washer in a kit.
I have bent some, but have yet to break one, touch wood.
