When you live in the past, it costs you the present.

what a great story! tho i found it a little late to tell you that if you put baby powder on( lots of it ) before you suit up to fibreglass , do not re apply through the day and when you shower at night have a very hot one for a while before cooling it down = nealy no itch. worked for me for years.

    Report #21

    Mon - Day 22

We cut out the 4th stringer, then gave them all a shave here and there to achieve a better fit.

Put bung holes in two inner stringers,

and cut heels out of two outer stringers.

Ross gave the hull a light sanding and I got to clean up after him again!

    Tues - Day 23

Went shopping, bought inspection hatches, staple gun and stainless staples.... that's tool #4 if you're keeping count Kev ;-)

Bogged up old bung holes and base of transom. Glassed a patch of one layer woven roven and one layer of mat into keel and up base of transom.

Coated bases of stringers with the resin mix.

Makes perfect sense to me.... and that is how we were going to do ours, but then decided to do them with straight cuts and 300mm long keyways.

There will be no foam under the floor. After what we found under our floor we want good air circulation during storage.

Good to see you keep your shed rego'd!!!

It's looking good Bev! Sorry I couldn't get down there... Been mayhem up here!

You've given me incentive to get my boat going again, so thanks so much! I've got a lot of work to do, and I have an idea of where to go after seeing some of your pictures. (Post as many as you like/can!)

    We're all watching Bev!

Had to put that rego sticker somewhere safe Dan We figured you must have got busy when we didn't hear from you. Glad we've motivated you into getting your boat going again #

Just spent 10 hours reading the thread
You guys have a great "Never say die" attitude... That Suzi looks like a 1986 model and very rare indeed esp a 115.

Suzi isn't ours, so don't know what model, etc. She's here until her owner comes up with a better storage solution

    Report #23

    Thur - Day 25

Began making bulkheads, cutting out the cockpit floor,

and the step downs for the floor under the well.

It was at this point we realised we'd made a mistake! Stepping down the floor to maximise space under the well has exposed the heels in the outer stringers... so they will need to be filled in and bung holes added so we maintain bouyancy between the outer stringers and the chine.
