Thread: Jungle Bass

    Jungle Bass

Had some friends from north Queensland visit me (in northern NSW) for a New Years eve gathering and was compelled (just part of being hospitable!) to take them walking local creeks in search of some piscatorial experiences. Had fabulous sessions on bass (dozen fish each) walking a rainforest covered gorge of the upper Richmond and mates were blown away with the similarity to Jungle Perch fishing in the sweetwater of NQ. Check out the perspiration on the fishers - climate felt like NQ as well!! - Jim

and another fish - not generally big (though I have caught them in this reach to 52 cm) but hit and fight like hell - would pull a real JP backwards!

Looks really nice ,very similar to the upper reaches of the tweed and currumbin creeks, same sort of classed fish. They pull hard and its pretty quiet up around there.
