    Lake MacDonald Bass by Kayak

Righto....Im back from work for 2 days and straight into the Hobie Bass Bash. Not a 2-stroke in sight....marvellous.

The fish were off the chew as far as I was concerned but I did manage to boat the biggest of the day, a feisty 40cm Bass. Took off like a bloody steam train, how I have missed the sound of line running out at high speed...........

Anyway, here it is, and Im now planning my next assault in the Bay this week.

Land_based....you got it....just slow trolling, nice and easy. It was a nice heavy spinnerbait so it got right down to the bottom. Once there I could control the depth by the speed of trolling.
Havent used these spinnerbaits much before but they seem to work ok. Weird things though.

Hi Jake, how do you find the Hobie? I wondered if they cause any discomfort when you paddle around using your feet.
I'm thinking of buying some kind of craft like this early next year & I'm interested to hear what others have to say.
    cheers
    Paul
