Nice Golden canoedle. I'm sure it was great on the plate as well.

    Cheers

surprising so, after all the reports I had read on this forum pooh poohing them as a table fish I was not holding any high expectations, but i have to say it was a lot nicer than the last bass I caught in the same spot.

That bait ball is specktacular and I only ever saw something similar once before myself at logan inlet two years ago around september i think

That day I got a 54 cmm bass throwing a jackle round the edge of it boy did that baby fight in shallow water

No need to rub it in Bruce
If we hadnt been breaking camp when I saw it the kayak would have been going straight through it shortly after.

The photo of the bait ball makes me want to pack the boat and head up there! Never seen anything like it in the fresh, great work! I would have bolted down there the second I saw it!!!! A hunter once said to me, "don't pack the gun away till you are back on the highway" Same goes for the rod I guess

In my limited freshwater fishing down here, I've found the Yellows better eating than the bass.

    Cheers Richo
