    Top of the tweed

Fished the top of the tweed on sunday from a canoe for the first time. Very scenic, we saw 5 platypus one popping up about 5 metres from the canoe. Oh yea we also caught 30 bass up to 46cms using ecogear sx48's and 2 1/2th inch rapala original floaters. no photo's i only have a small film clip of the 46cm fish on my phone which i'm to lazy to take a frame from but you've all seen a bass before. I also had a big mullet belt my lure aswell which was a bit of a shock.

Nice one. 5 platypus... we saw one at lismore the other week. He seemed to be inquisitive and kept bobbing up and watching us.

30 bass was that between two people? what a catch.

It's a great piece of the world up that river. lots of things to see even if the fishin wasn't on.
did you cast to each snag before moving on or troll along untill someone rang the bells?

    just what we need eh
the missus had a big carp jump right infront of her in the pool we were fishing on sunday.... i didn't see it ,only the splash, but she said it was reddish orange looking fish and a bit barrel shaped so i assume to be a carp.

    cheers, roo

Nice work Jeremy, those mammals with bills are pretty cool huh!

I've seen some real big light coloured carp about 15/20lbs between the bridge & the puping station downstream. Must be awsome to try a land if you hook one.
    Cheers
