Haycock Island is ALWAYS a good option. We got a couple of good barra jigging prawn stars here. Have hooked many other good fish also. The creeks on the island side of haycock can be productive. We mainly looked for the smaller creeks and good snags. It does not have to be a full tree in the water to hold good barra. We like to fish snags with small fine branches in or poking out of the water ALSO any timer in the water with a bit of greenery. The creek directly across from deluge had some nice fish in Sept. We looked for crocs - they eat fish (lazy old barra)and fished those areas / creeks.
