    Winter whiting

    Hey guys, just needing some help on finding some good areas around the nerang river/ broadwater to catch some winter whiting, any tips, please would be most welcome.I am coming from Brisbane to the coast and am looking for land/ beach fishing spots for a feed of the good stuff. I would be very greatfull for your expertise......thanks very much......amk.

    No size or bag limit on WINTER whiting.
    Just be sure you know how to I.D. the different species.

    Are you land based? All of the spots I know on the main banks in the Bay.

    Why go so far, wynnum / manly foreshores on an early morning high will snare you a good feed, as you can walk out on the little concrete groins at wynnum good for the kids as well. hope this helps

    amk, do you have a name
    1. you don't use livies for winter whiting
    2. the groins start from wynnum creek and head south go for a walk along the esplanade
    3. go to woolies or coles and buy say 3 or 4 fresh squid will cost you a dollar
    4. use # 4 hooks and around 2kg line very little weight.

    try behind the council chambers it's been a long time since I was down that way but that's were I would start then head to runaway bay area and try there.
