Urgent advice needed
Hi, for all those with electric motors, i am wanting to know if you can travel by road with the motor mounted. I am heading to the coast tomorrow (about 200km) and have a MK RT55lb with mounting plate...Is it good practice to mount and travel or put it on when i arrive.................advice appreciated.
cheers

If you travel with the motor on the boat, make sure 100% that it is fully supported and strapped down firmly. If you cant achieve that, take it off and put it back on when you get there. Not worth any risks, can ruin your holiday if something goes wrong.

Re: Urgent advice needed
if their is room it would be best to put it in the car but saying that i have travled port to brissy and around all our rivers with it always mounted on the boat and have never had a problem
most weekend i travle up or down the highways some times up to a hour and a half and never take it off
