Cheers Mate.......
Does anyone know if the shoal area of south straddie produces fish??
Cheers
Mad!
I know it produces breaking waves Doubt it produces any more than the Seaway itself. If you're gonna go outside you may as well keep going for a few more k'sOriginally Posted by Mad_fisherman
Hey DC,
thanks for that i just was not sure. Probley not a good idea to fish in the breakers lol. Also i have never really found the seaway produces anything of to much chop.

Mad_Fisho, the seaway produces some top quality fish, if you know how to fish it.
Have a look at this.....

I'd be guessing that bank is an area to troll as the pelagics come back on.
Ive caught big Tailor on that shoal area with a floatline and pilly.
cheers, ive been looking for something like this!
Thanks for the map burley_boy. I have fished those shoals before and didn't catch anything. Though thats not to say that there isn't anything around there. Its not that shallow there & it only breaks when big swell is around!
Cheers Mick
