Interpretating wave rider data

G'day fella's,

Just wondering what the T-peak (peak enery) and Tz (zero crossings) readings mean as reported by the BOM wave rider bouys. What does this data acutally represent ?

T-Peak represents the amount of time in seconds between waves that are producing the most energy.

Tz - Is the average of the Zero up-crossing waves.

Zero Up Crossing waves are waves which are larger than the average water level in an upward movement.

Took me a while to get my head round it, but the info can be useful especially for bar crossings if the weather is less than pefect.
