    GC 36 & 50 Fth

Thinking about heading out to 36 and 50 fathoms off the Goldcoast seaway on the weekend, how many Klms out is it and can anyone give us some marks to try

If you get google earth, you can plot the marks and work out the distance by scale. Might be 6-10 kms?

Just go East out from the seaway until your sounder hits the required depth.
    What are you fishing for?

36s are at least 20km, 50s are another 10-15km on top of that. You can find some marks here - http://www.fishntales.com/gpsmarks/qld/goldcoast.htm
What boat do you have? We'll be out there on the weekend as well trolling around (weather according).

Thanks for that DC, our boat is a 5mtr cruisecraft, not sure if we will make it this weekend although plan to be out there soon.

I have a new 115 yamaha 2 stroke & just trying to work out if my 80 litre fuel tank will cover us going to the 50's

    Paranoid,

36's are 12 - 13mile out 50,s around 20mile. Best bet is to do a trip to the 36's and then work out your fuel burn over that distance and then see if you will have enough to get to the 50's on the next trip but leave a BIG margin as if it turns ugly the fuel consumption will increase dramaticly.

    Cheers
