From my experiance, the bigger calamari squid are around during the day, early morning is best on a high tide, but can usually be found throughout the day. At night u tend to get a lot more arrow squid, esp under the last light be4 the big landing platform in the corner. You do see a few calamari squid under the light at the bend of the jetty at nigt, up in the shallows on the high tide.
