Estuary cod are tasty, but good on ya for letting him go if you were unsure . They have a white flaky flesh which is moist when not overcooked. Be carefull of the blades on the backs of the gills when handling though.
Cheers, Gay
hi all
caught this cod the other day at redcliffe and was wondering if they are
any good to eat . does size affect the quality at all . I let him go as I was not sure of the above. I guess him at 60cm as the bottom of the
container is 30cm
cheers dan

that one would have been a great feed mate!
bet you cant get yourself another legal now #
I'm always getting the buggers just under, their numbers certainly have picked up in recent times
Na...lousy feed...but if you happen to get another though, just knick his gills to bleed him out, put him on ice and give me a call...be glad to take it off you and feed it to the cat
Cheers

p.s. We don't have a cat so I 'spose we'd have to eat it so as not to see it go to waste
