Just in case you is not up with the lingo mate, a squire is a juvenile snapper.

The first is definatley a squire / juvenile snapper.
The second looks remarkably like a twin of my orange shouldered wrase which I have as a pet in my marine aquarium...
Is a whip tail a common name? Perhaps they are marketed as an orange shouldered wrase in the marine aquarium industry?? Perhaps I am mistaken... Just a thought...

looks like a squire and a rainbow runner well thats what i heard they were called.....definitely a sort of wrasse

we catch heaps of the second one and we thought they were hussars,we dont keep them though because we get small ones and u cant get a decent filit off them

the second fish is definently a whip tail. you catch plenty out at mud island.

Second one is Whiptail and dont be tempted to eat them.
Fusilier family and known to have Ciguitera. (So the experts say)

first is a squire....second is a whiptail..............definitely great live bait for anything that swims fast in the bay.
