Tomahawk Tasmania
Hi we are amatuer fishers and we were just wondering what the fishing is like in tomahawk.. we are soon travelling there to camp and fish .. what should we expect to catch and what techniques are recommended.
Cheers

Re: Tomahawk Tasmania
G'day Brandon & Lindsey,
Tomahawk is a great pleace for diving and snorkelling... plenty of crays, abalone and fish to see.
The beach / bay at Tomahawk is very shallow.
Very pretty area though.
Quite a few Tasmanian Devils up that way too
The fishing isnt all that flash though.
Salmon, Barracouta, Flathead and Wrasse would be your main targets.
A boat is preferrable, but the boat ramp is slightly ordinary and a 4wd is mandatory.
If you go back into Bridport, you can catch bream and flathead from the banks of the river / inlet.
Cheers
