At Heaven's gate a soldier stood,
his story ready to tell,
St Peter said, 'no need my son all is understood,

G'DAy Dan,
Did see the pic of that lizard in the earlier "biggest flattie' thread...not sure I'd like to let a crocodile that size that close to my genital area .

A 75cm dusky caught in the Logan river on a 'cocktail' bait consisting of a cube of fresh green prawn, 6 inches of blood worm and then finally 3 whitebaits, the lot threaded onto a 5/0 widegap hook. Also pulled in 4 other smaller males around the 40 - 50 cm mark from the same hole.
My biggest so far is 82cm model, caught in the Richmond at Ballina earlier this year!!!
Hope to better it soon!!!

Caught 63.5cm near Surfers on a 3" Gulp Chartreuse - 14lb Fireline. First ever flathead.
Christened my new Dropshot rod with about and 80cm-ish on 8lb fireline a couple of weeks later, had it on the sand on the waters edge, went to grab it and it snapped the snap swivel and swam off before mate came back with from the car with camera or ruler, but 4 mates saw it, other than that no proof Was near Seaworld car park with same soft placcy.

Nice lizards there
Tight lines <*)(((((((((><
Hey Lads/ Ladies,
Here's a couple caught by my mate Smithy up at Emu Park, would you believe 15 minutes apart. Both were genuine horses released( we haven't kept big flathead for years) but no measurements were taken, check the differences in the fish. Smithy has always been an arsy bastard and I caught nothing that morning out of my own boat(same bait, rig etc).
Cheers !!!
