i've never seen this many fish on screen. how do i find these spots, just motor around slowly until i find structure holding fish or what?
Been slack and haven't added to this thread for a while.
This is a pic of a ledge we fish. The hard reef on the left and sandy bottom on the right. Obviously there is a big bait school over the reef and predatory fish on the right.
Now interpret this image as you willit could be looked upon as a number of things.
I see it as a bait ball on a pinnacle with some other schools of fish.

Snapper and some bait on hard reef. You can just see on the right hand side the drop off of the ledge.
Fishing one of our favourite ledges. Snapper, Jew, kingies were landed this day thanks to the baitfish holding just up over the ledge.
My guess is they are fish continually swimming under your sounder hence the long trails. Something has happened that has caused them to go down to the bottom, possibly someone dropping a baited line overboard which the fish then followed downOriginally Posted by Wahoo

G'day Heath, thats great info. can we assume the arches are a little distorted because the fish is moving?
