No fishing today :(

The forecast yesterday looked borderline ok so I packed up the gear ready for an early start today. 4am and out to Vicky Pt to head over to Peel, only to be met by rain and wind. Sat at the ramp for a few minutes watching 3 blokes launching their tinny in the pouring rain and driving out into the mist. Thought, stuff it, don't want to be in the 6pm news, so turned the rig around and went home...

I think thats 5 weeks and no fishing, any more and I think I'm going to cry

I'm with you mate. After waking at 4am to a storm, slept till 5:00 and all looked OK ???. Weather showing still 15+ at inner beacon so headed to the pin. Also met by absoluty blankets of rain after preping boat. Decided to give it a miss. Not satisfied and weather clearing ??? on the way home decided give logan river a go. Couple of bream and a flattie only (all released) and the weather set in again in a blink. Bloody blankets again. Soaked to the bone twice, lack of sleep and not a feed . Guess it makes the next trip feel all that bit better.
